LaSalette - Sonoma

I travel to Sonoma for work quite often and have been unimpressed by the local restaurants - UNTIL NOW! LaSalette is our new go-to restaurant.

I really should go here most often - it was YUM! Lunch for 4 yesterday - we each had something different and we each loved our dish! Pulled Pork sandwich -

I had never been here before but I've been spending a lot of time exploring Sonoma this past year and I was intrigued that there was a Portuguese restaurant

We all loved LaSalette, it was slightly different from some of the Portuguese food we are used to eating in South Africa but excellent! They have a wonderful menu of starters, mains, desserts and Portuguese wines and ports as well as local wines. We had a vino verde, alvarino, Cod Cakes, the Caldo Verde soup, seasonal veggies and Pork Clams, and topped off a delicious meal with the fruit dessert which had pears poached in port and passion fruit mousse mmmm so delicious. Everything was homemade, the service was top notch (better than the awful service at our so called 5 star hotel), we got lots of little free tasties from the chef, and the setting was so cozy and warm, you can even sit outside on the patio and enjoy their beautiful fairy lit trees. Parking: There's street parking which is free at night and on Sundays.
