I've been regular since the 60s. my dad visited it. then I and my son also drove all. from gurugram with a few friends only for the paronthas. the variety of parontha is simply unbeatable, but I never see the menu. my order is for a tandoori aloo-pyaaz easy crisp parntha with the dashed butter and a special war with a smash of sugar. I don't need any gadgets like curd or even daal for my joy being watered. the best is day or night (with maybe a few hours in between 3 to 5 o'clock or so), they will always open it to any meal they want. we had a snack break as it was 4.30 clock, so only the parontha. it would have been a sheer sacrileg, just without stopping.
This very popular dhaba has turned into a restaurant-type eater in the course of the years. Apart from changing layouts and ambientes, the menu has also changed and is now a very cosmopolitan that eats from all indies and...also so-called Chinese foods sold in Indian restaurants. I have often been in this dhaba and found that they have now become suitable for a meal at any time of the day and also shops around selling tourist items. the food to be chosen is in my opinion the Nordic or local cuisine. at a recent visit I ordered gobhi (cauliflower) and muli (radiish) paratha. I chose these two via the aloo (kartoffel) paratha, which tends to be very difficult for non-regular consumers like me. the parathas are served hot from the many and with a huge aid of butter as it is common in the region. two parathas make a good, hearty and nutritious breakfast. we also ordered chai, which is served in glass tubers. the chai was nothing great. prices are reasonable and you have the opportunity to sit in open or air-conditioned room. the restaurant offers plenty of parking space and also clean and well maintained washrooms. this is one of few very popular dhabas on the gt karnal road and one visit in the opposite worth.
Great eating, great ambiente! a perfect place with high quality eating! excellent whisper! love it!
We have visited this place for over a decade and are our favorite in murthal. the last two traveling were disappointing. amritsari kulcha here was like no other place, like the dhaba after real traditional recipe of making kucha with white chana. mixed with seasoning. they have now removed from the genuine traditional and unique taste to the regular, oily kucha on the basis of wipers. that is what we get everywhere and not the right taste. we have addressed this point, and we have been told that what is now recipe, and they would question the “old Kucha” to our next visit. while I appreciate their efforts to provide their old customers, but I really wish they don't lose their real taste and become like amrik sukhdew dhaba, who has now lost his true dhaba taste!
Travelling to Manali from Delhi. Took halt here. Food menu and sitting is big. Taste is ok ok. Could have been much better
