The breakfast sandwiches were delicious with perfectly cooked eggs and great biscuits. The pie was great with a tasty filling and flaky crust, and the blueberry scones were a nice treat. The location is very nice too. Definitely recommend.
They sell pies. I was hungry and I ate mine but it was dry as a desert. Possibly freshly made the day before, but not that day. And a spoon of beef gravy over the top could have helped.A bottle of wine was more expensive than expected given that we were really off the beaten track, at the docks. In most restaurants it is cheaper to buy the whole bottle rather than 4 glasses. So we settled for that tiny glass of wine and a can of beer.Pictured small plastic cup of wine, BBQ Shrimp on the Barbie over rice salad. Other cardboard plate sits a beef stew pie.
It 's a small place with big taste. Love the pies. As their wall says: Pies that you can dive right into . Zero complaints. The food is great. The atmosphere is relaxed and open. It 's a great little stop when passing through the ship yard.Food: 5/5
Sea biscuit is overpriced for the quantity of food you get. I got a non-alcoholic hot toddy (which just taste like sweet lemon tea), a small serving of mushy pea, mash potatoes and a spinach and cheese pie, and my husband got a lamb pie (small size of your palm) and a mulled wine for $54.00. The atmosphere is like a British sports pub so it is cool and the people who work there are super nice...it's just pricey for pub food and the quantity is small.
Sea BiscuitBeing an English person I am partial to a good homemade pie ?! Having been recommended this little rustic cafe/restaurant down in East Boston docks I thought I would give it a go! Well what a little find! I decided on the beef stew pie, homemade mushy peas and gravy! I decide against the mash and had a cheeky little French red instead! Had to watch the calories! ? If you fancy a little bit of homemade heaven in a working dock location this is the place for you! ????
