Savory vegetable stir fry with a hot bowl of rice is made exceptionally well here. The taste of basil is not overpowering but present. It lives up to its reputation as an Asian bistro/diner.
My husband and I love Lemon Thai! Their pad thai is so delicious. Whenever we have tried this dish at other Thai restaurants, it never compares to what we get at Lemon Thai. Our other regular favorites are yellow curry with tofu, Bangkok golden, and chicken satay. The staff is kind and service is quick. When Covid hit, they were so on top of keeping everyone safe. Highly recommend!
One thing to note is that you won't find the usual lime wedges served with this dish. Although the chicken option can sometimes be a bit dry, the overall flavor of the dish really compensates for that. Honestly, all the protein choices are excellent and complement the dish beautifully. Plus, the portion size is definitely worth the price—it's almost like getting two meals in one! This is not the place to come if you're looking for the best wonton soup, as that falls more into the realm of Chinese American cuisine. Occasionally, when I order my favorite dish, I'll also get their Tom Kha soup as a side or save it for another day. While the dish might not be visually stunning with an abundance of color or noodles, what keeps me coming back is the incredible flavor. When I eventually feel adventurous enough to try other dishes, I will definitely report back. My experiences at this restaurant have always been positive, and I've ordered around 50 dishes since moving here without a single mistake on their part (I've ordered even more when friends and family visit). I’m someone who values diversity and believe in paying it forward, so I usually tip 20 to 25%, even for takeout. When I’m tight on funds as a full-time student, I might tip around 10% or give a little cash in person. With COVID still impacting many restaurants, the last thing I want is to see a beloved establishment shut down unexpectedly, especially one that’s so reputable. I genuinely hope they’re doing okay financially; I’m not one to pry with personal questions. But if they’re struggling, I would highly recommend they set up a GoFundMe page because I, along with my roommates and many others, would gladly support them to help keep the restaurant afloat.
Some of the dishes we've tried include their Pad Thai, Indonesian Rice, and Chicken Satay—all of which are delicious and bursting with flavor. In fact, their Pad Thai is the best I've had compared to all the other places I've tried. The Chicken Satay consists of grilled skewers that are easy to eat and perfect for dipping in the tasty peanut sauce. The Indonesian Rice is truly unique and unlike anything else I've experienced; it's a beautiful bed of flavorful rice accompanied by crispy chicken (which is exceptionally crispy!) and/or vegetables like broccoli, green beans, onions, sprouts, and baby corn. I highly recommend exploring their menu to find something that sounds appealing to you!
