Las Fuentes Mexican - Somerville

We were on a drive to check on some family stuff and made a random stop here for lunch. The food was a pleasant surprise. We ordered the lunch #14 chicken enchiladas verdes. The verdes sauce was excellent. I appreciated the light hand with the cheese aswell as the added avocado slices on top. I thought the rice was solid while the refried beans were average. Chips were servedwith a green sauce, queso and a red ranchero sauce. All of these were tasty but not spicy so some might find them on the blandside. Tea was fresh and good. Service was friendly. We sat on the patio and were checked on several times.

AMAZING FOOD! Great Drinks! Everything is well priced. Plenty of staff for good service too! This place does fill up at busy times, but it's so worth it!!!

Not so good won?t be back the chips were stale the hot sauce was runny and the food had no taste and the meat I had to spit out because I could not chew it ! Would rather have gone to Chili?s !

I had the #2 which was two beef enchiladas, a beef taco and a cheese puff chip. It was delicious! Hubby had the #7 which was a beef enchilada and beef taco and guacamole salad with a tostada. It was yummy! The red sauce was really good. They also bringcomplimentary cheese queso to the table with chips. This is a place I would definitely return to.

Authentic Mexican food from authentic Mexican in and out of the way, but surprisingly authentic setting. Portions are huge and tasty on the palate with just a little spice. The neon signs are inviting and create a beautiful mood as the sun sets. A great place to end the day with a cold beer or a margarita, or a place to seriously clog. Take the ride from Bryan, College Station or Brenham for a different culinary experience than the chain restaurants.
