Highland Cuisine - Somerville

I have been coming to this restaurant since I was young. The people, food, and environment are great, and now they have done an amazing renovation! I am so happy to stop by today and see it. I love you guys! Come by and check it out for yourself! Thank you to Jean for the food and smoothies.

Truly the bomb dot com. After I ate it for dinner I dreamed about it at night. I got the creole fish and everything was seasoned to perfection. I didn’t realize it came as a whole fish, head and all, but it’s better that way because meat is healthier cooked on the bone, and it’s so much less wasteful! And now I’m no longer weary of ordering a whole fish! The service was great when I went but I don’t understand people complaining about that anyway. They’re slinging to-go orders, what do you want, a silver platter? The food is top notch, that’s what counts

I had to deduct one star, but overall the flavor is still great and the prices are fair. My family, who are Jamaican, and I really enjoy this Haitian restaurant. While there can be communication issues at times, I would advise being patient. The fried fish and griot were delicious and literally melted in my mouth. It's definitely a top spot and I plan to return in a few days.

This Caribbean restaurant serves home-cooked style meals with large portions and fast service. I ordered the fried pork for takeout and it was ready in just 15 minutes. The pork was a bit dry and some pieces were tough to chew, but the sauce provided on the side helped. If you're not a fan of dry meat, I wouldn't suggest ordering fried dishes here, but the sides like rice and beans, slaw, and salad complement the meat well.
