Somerville Hotel

The only problem in our case which probably wouldn’t be applicable to others is our booking was for 4 people and our friends arrived 10 minutes before us and were seated. When we arrived no mention was made re our friends being there and we were seated at another table out of site of our friends. This was resolved by us another 30 minutes later.

This is a very nice pub and the porthouse steak was great, very tender and cooked perfectly by the chef.

A good venue to eat drink and be with the family. However, one disappointment, our 4 year old grandson only consumed 10% of his meal so we asked for a doggy bag. Under no circumstances are you allowed to take food that you have paid for off the premises. So let’s put it in the bin instead. Wasteful.

The food was great, certainly going back. Had pork belly, best I have ever had.

Staff joked talked between themselves did not interact with us even when ordering dinner. Very clean venue awesome ambience
