It is not only dog-friendly, but it is a family business and their wines are named after canine family members. Sadly, one of their beloved dogs recently passed. I see a couple Reviews about this place not being friendly....perhaps the man who didn't seem happy was mourning his loss....we're only human. We bought some of their wines and are very much enjoying them! We're also giving bottles of WD to our dog-loving friends as gifts. :
This was probably the most awkward experience. My boyfriend and I came here because dogs were allowed and we had our little guy with us. The man working there didn 't really seem to happy to be there. We did the wine tasting that lets you try 5 types of wine. Of course we had questions. My boyfriend asked how can you tell what wine is good the man answered and said you try them and you pick the one you like okay besides the obvious we wanted to know some tricks, since we have no idea. Is Italian wine better or whatever who cares, just tell us what wine you like or something and why. As he poured our wine he didn 't tell us what the wine was made of. We ended up buying a wine and leaving because we felt as if we were bothering him.
Such a cute place and of course very dog friendly. Our pup was sitting with us inside and had a great time greeting everyone that entered. So sad that it closed early tho.
Came here towards the end of Julefest (ended at 4pm). Lovely wine and a very nice woman who helped us, however we were enjoying our final tasting glass (around 4:20pm) and an extremely rude male bartender came over and asked us to get up and leave because he needed to make room for paying customers. This was our first interaction with him so we were all very taken aback....he was visibly upset and shaking! Had we been allowed to stay we would've purchased a few bottles but the bartender was so off putting that we had to get out of there. Horrible!!!! Go to the brewery next door, they are much nicer and more accommodating! Such a shame for Wandering Dog.
I had the best experience here. The owner was extremely friendly and very helpful. The wine was delicious!! Definitely go. Good vibes, good wine. Strike up a convo with the owner he has some great stories. Also get a lemon and beet vinegar shot. Delicious.
