Red Viking - SOLVANG

The service was friendly. but there's waiting time. Eating was okay. salad came with super soggy smelling greens that we had to send it back (first time ever) the smell and the tenderness made it look like raw seetang. when we asked the staff, they said it was just greens that just went so bad! I can't believe they can serve it as part of a $22 article. they also missed broth. at least they replaced the salat with something spinat (unwashed, so that he had dirt and we could not eat.) I would give 3 stars because the gardenburger was good. French pommes were yam and twirl rings are in order. lemonade was refreshing and the staff was good with children, as I noticed. it is therefore a child-friendly escaping area.

To begin with, this is all my opinion, the service was generally very good … however, flat Cokes and almost undrinkable ice tea made the experience poor. I had a hamburger and it was good, not great, but others in our group had the Danish dishes and were severely disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant and the next time I’m in Solvang I’ll try something different. Again, the service was good and I thank them for that.

Affordable food. Good ambiance, good customer service. It reminds me of when I went to Copenhagen.

We stopped in the Red Viking for dinner and our food was delicious. The salad was a mix of fresh dark greens .and the Italian dressing was homemade and delicious.We had the Captains Seafood Platter with fries and Cole slaw and the portions were good sized and it was delicious. The side order of red cabbage was excellent..Our friends has the Chicken fried steak and they said it was good.Our Server Eva was top notch.We highly recommend the Red Viking.

Just gross. I had the bacon avocado cheeseburger which had zero flavor. The “bacon” was more like balsa would than anything resembling bacon. DH had the 4 sausage plate which was nothing to write home about. He enjoys spicy food but the chorizo was hot just for the sake of being hot. No flavor, just hot.
