Host was rude when they took one brief call to wish a fellow friend good luck. Sound was very low, and not distracting to others. They also felt uncomfortable being under 21 and not ordering drinks. We/they will be back, but hoping for a better experience next time.
Consistently good. Had the pulled pork sandwich and affogato which was delicious. Family had an assortment of lunch items and nobody was disappointed. Service was excellent as usual.
The Black Bass is an historic Bucks County inn that has become our go-to for a special lunch or dinner on the Delaware River--not just overlooking the river, but right beside its rushing waters. For six months of the year, when the weather is warm, there is outdoor dining on a riverside deck, in addition to the inside tables along panoramic picture windows. The menu is creative, seasonal, and reliable; the food fresh and beautifully plated; the wine list is strong, the pours generous, the cocktails fun; the desserts are excellent. The service is welcoming, warm, knowledgable, and unobtrusively attentive. The drive there is part of the experience: up scenic River Road beyond New Hope, it makes for a lovely afternoon.
Black Bass offers a superb meal at a very reasonable price. Anyone looking for excellent seafood and fish should check out this restaurant, which also has a lovely river view. I think that this will become my favorite restaurant within 45 minutes of Princeton.
Great view, charming old building in lovely countryside. Food good but to much filler: **** Mary was half crushed ice; garnola sunday was three quarters chopped fruit; afagato desert was less than 8 oz espresso coffee. Service slow and inattentive; her long green fingernails were unappetizing. Room very noisy when all tables full.
