Sagar Ratna - Solan

It is always great to see a Sagar Ratnam anywhere. They denote good clean & delicious south Indian food without and mess or fuss. Ample parking outsidee. Adjacent to Cafe Coffee Day.

Due to limited South Indian resturants in the area this restaurant has an advantage plus the another good part is it offers delicious food

This place could have been a winner as there is hardly any south Indian restaurant in the vicinity.However,they have not lived upto the expectations.The food is very ordinary and the service lazy.The food is over priced for what they give you.Been there twice and both times it was disappointing! I am not going again.

Solan does not have any good food eating options so chains like Sagar Ratna is really a boon. It is on the highway and a little away from the main town. Sagar Ratna as we all know is famous for its south Indian food. We were three people and we ordered three different kind of dosas. All tasted good but somehow more or less the same. The ambience was good too, service was fine. The only thing which bothered was that they were not accepting card payments. These days who wants to carry cash all the time.

Well within last 1 year i had been to sagar ratna 2-3 times and food was so horrible that i had to stop torturing myself. After a long gap and on my wifes request, we tried it again.This time service was same - not up to mark.Ambience was average. The restaraunt is not well kept and maintained by owner.But there was significant improvement in food. This was the first time we ordered the dishes again after 1st round. We has 2 andhra dosa, 1 sabhar-vada and one ghe roast masala dosa. I also asked for Set dosa but they refused saying it was not possible. Nonethe less food was good, sambhar was good.Good to see the Mojo back . And obviously the big plus point-the only on highway stop where there is plenty of parking and CCD by side too
