Ravintola Ruska Oy - Sodankylae

We stopped at this restaurant on our way to Saariselkä. It has the feel of a 1970s gas station and offered a very nice breakfast buffet for 10€, which included water and coffee. The environment was clean and welcoming.

The service was very poor, the coffee was stale, and the chocolate was from a machine. We initially thought it was a funeral home, but there was nothing indicating that. The quality of the coffee was subpar. Additionally, they charge customers one euro to use the bathroom, even if they have made a purchase. I do not recommend going there for even just a cup of coffee.

If you're looking to immerse yourself in the ambiance of a classic 70s Finnish bus stop or enjoy a strong cup of coffee without the lingering scent of grease and acid, this is the place for you. You can also try a local sweet pastry called kampanisu. The staff is friendly, the restrooms are clean - it's in a league of its own.
