3 of my friends and I were passing through on our way to Aspen and we had come in just to use the bathroom. The owner Benoit is seriously the best. He asked us where we were heading and our planned hike ended up being not the best choice since the weather had taken a turn, and he gave us tips on plenty of nearby alternatives, even drawing up a map for us. He was so helpful and welcoming, and the shop has plenty of food and baked goods that are all made on site. If I ever pass through again it would be just to drop by and say hi. PS Get a breakfast burrito and thank me later
Benoit De Lavaissiere opened this new offering in the old Snowmass Deli space a week ago with the remainder of the kitchen equipment, menu, etc. to arrive over the next 10 days. Today, there were some solid looking deli sandwiches in the deli case and standard convenience store items. Benoit mentioned his partner/chef who is designing the menu can't wait to see what they offer when all of the equipment arrives.
Who would think there was a great snack shack hidden at a gas station. This little market has fresh wholesome ethnic food. I got the empanada and it was one of the best I ever had.
Finally a breakfast burrito worth eating!! If only the rest of Colorado could step up their breakfast burrito game like these guys. Will definitely stop here again when I'm in the area.
