From the outside, but from the inside disappointing. restaurant no! bistro yes. to the happiness on one of the most important Irish tourist routes, good for business. Perhaps the owner has to invest in a kind of beautiful decoration with small fresh flowers from the garden. fish was not bad, my wife makes it better. one of the reviews mentioned about 1980 a mixture of veg 100% 3 begins to look outside and waiter gassing.
In a sea of hospitality, especially when it comes to busy tourist towns, the sacre coeur stands as a light fire of the deeply satisfying hope for anyone looking for excellent homemade food when they visit or go through sneem. for more than 40 years we have been eating here as guests after kerry, as small children and now as adult with own children. Despite the recent pastness of the original owner, cáit dwyer last year, their son and grande have their fine tradition of using the best local seafood, meat and general products to serve the most divine of the delicious food. we ate there twice in this week and it was a joy to see that cáits family have still improved their high standards; a cozy, warm dining room where we have on the most juicy kerry lamb hacks I have ever tasted (I am an expert in this department caught in front of location, fluffy cot with piping beautiful little bursiping and a series of squeaking fresh veg as possible (the art the staff is irritating, efficient and keeps an eye. home made deserts it is so hearty to see young chefs stay the road in such small cities where the fuckle tourist seasons make it difficult to stay. this is a restaurant where they also eat, if not better than most better known spots for a price that seems really reasonable. do not fit them without visiting.
Fabulous food as always, from an authentic and consistently super restaurant, a favourite of ours. To start, I had the French onion soup and I can’t remember one more delicious, with a truly fab caramelised onion flavour. Our other starter was the Sneem black pudding, always a must, which was delicate and delicious. For main course, the turbot was just exquisite; I was torn between it and another favourite, the fresh scampi a difficult choice which also was outstanding. Super food, thoroughly enjoyed and great value.
This restaurant was the highlight of our holiday. excellent eating and brilliant service. there are other places to go closer to kenmare with celebrity owners, but they do not compare.
