Popped into the Anvil this afternoon with my Mum following a recommendation. The welcome was well received, all I can say is that food and the service and food was first class. Thankyou. Excellent food, and situation normally would merit 5 stars, but the evening was completely spoilt by the chef having a Gordon Ramsey tirade, F-ing and Blinding against a young member of staff, in the kitchen clearly audible not only in the restaurant but outside in the garden. Such a shame, that our evening was spoilt in this manner. Ramsey belongs on the tele, not in real life. Food drinks: Excellent but totally spoilt by the chef's behaviour.
