La Locanda - Sn Luis Obisp

Simple ambience combined with a creative and delicious menu and a plentiful wine map makes La Locanda a popular destination in San Luis Obispo. The Butternuss-Ravioli Raviola di Zucca) presented with a hint of almond flavor and perhaps just a light honey glaze in the butter and sage finish, which almost as to treat itself to dessert BEFORE in a plentiful slice of Tiramasu with fresh raspberries and blackberries. Whew! And while I love the eggplants in exactly all vegetarian dishes, La Locanda presents a thinly cut, amply-layered eggplant parmesan Melanzane Parmigiana) with a perfect tomato sauce. I noticed that tourists and locals were greeted and treated like old friends.

Awesome food, we had the lasagna and meat ravioli after an excellent mushroom soup. Pasta came out perfect, sauce with the ravioli and lasagna “stuffing” was delicious. Service was excellent, server was deeply knowledgeable about the food and free with recommendations.

Hands down best Italian spot in Slo. Lasagna is a must order

This is an incredibly charming fine-dining Italian restaurant. Very spare and simple decor. Sweet and excellent service. I had the breseaola, meat tortellini in broth; and roasted duck l’orange. Everything was flavorful and well executed. My girl had a salad and the filet with green peppercorn sauce, which she loved. The tiramisu was fluffy and perfect.

Many wonderful items on their menu, not only the lasagna. Service is usually enthusiastic and helpful. Prices very reasonable, as it is with the wine list. There's a small outdoor dining area in back. I've been there ten times in 5 years, and I've noticed a slight slippage in quality of what's coming out of the kitchen. Please don't let that be a trend.
