The Olde World Bakery Café

This restaurant used to be my favorite spot when I worked in Smithville. I would always order the biscuit and gravy for takeout and the atmosphere was always welcoming. However, my recent visit left me disappointed with the customer service. I waited at a table for more than 5 minutes without being acknowledged, so I eventually went up to the counter to order. The young lady in a black shirt with a braid was too preoccupied with entering an order to notice me standing in front of her. After finally acknowledging me, she seemed very uninterested in helping and made me feel rushed while ordering. This experience was disappointing as I was eager to bring my fiancé to Olde World Bakery for the first time. I am uncertain if I will return in the future.

I highly suggest stopping by this cafe in Smithville. The atmosphere is delightful and the customer service is excellent. My favorite dish to order here is the breakfast skillet with sausage and vegetables, as well as the waffles! The staff is extremely friendly. I definitely recommend dining at this establishment.

This place was always my favorite go to when I worked in smithville. I would always order the biscuit and gravy for pick up and the place was welcoming. It 's been about 5-6 months since I 've visited this place and I was very disappointed with the customer service I received today. I went up to order my food because I sat at a table for more than 5 minutes waiting on someone I never dined in so I didn 't know if you ordered at the counter and then sat down) I ended up going to the counter and there was a young lady in a black shirt and a braid inputting a order but never acknowledged that I was standing in front of her. She finished inputting her order walked away, walked back to the front where I was still standing there and then proceeded to walk to the back asking for someone else. After several minutes of just standing there, she decided to finally acknowledge me with what can I get for you? with a very I have no choice but to help you attitude and made me feel rushed when ordering my food. It was a very disappointing experience because I was very excited to come back to olde world bakery and bring my fiancé for his first time. Not sure if I 'll be back.
