Insignia Prime Steak Sushi - Smithtown

For me, the appetizers were the highlight of the meal. We ordered the bacon and kani salad, which was one of the best kani salads I've ever tasted. The experience of having the bacon cooked right at our table was impressive, and it was absolutely delicious. We also tried the Australian wagyu tomahawk, which was cut table-side with a samurai sword—another unique experience! However, while it was good, I didn't find it to be extraordinary. Perhaps my own ability to cook a great steak made it less impressive to me. Next time, I think I would opt for the filet or sushi instead. The side dishes were decent but didn't stand out either. In my opinion, a significant portion of the price goes towards the excellent service and unique atmosphere. That said, there are definitely some standout items on their menu. What a fantastic venue! I went to a wedding at Insignia last week and was blown away. The food was exceptional, the service was top-notch, and the ambiance was stunning! Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 Highly recommend the Insignia.

I had a reservation for 7 PM and had to wait 29 minutes for my table. When I did get a table it was so close to the bar and the bar was crowded, people standing at the bar were right next to my seat and occasionally bumped into my head while I was eating. This made my dinner terribly uncomfortable. The only real good thing I have to say is that our waiter, Rubens, was extremely good. He was very helpful with specials and recommendations and very attentive. Great waiter. Terrible table which really ruined our dinner. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2
