That BOBO in the morning is a life saver!!! Best deli in Sloatsburg. It just seems like every morning I get a sandwich from here it gets better everyday

Absolute horrible experience. My dad had went inside to buy lottery tickets while my mom and I went into Dunkin ' Donuts to use the bathroom. The bathroom in Dunkin was closed so we came here to ask if their bathroom was opened. The man at the counter said no it 's not and I replied saying okay thank you have a good day . My dad was still on line to buy his lottery tickets. Once we left the store, the man at the counter said they should use the outhouse in the fields . My dad is white but my mom is Filipino. Both her and I have darker skin and don 't look white. My dad proceeded to tell him off and man at the counter said they weren 't buying anything anyways. You know how THOSE people are . My dad refused to buy from this deli. The reviews of this place all say that the staff is welcoming, but it 's clear that it is not a place for all people.

Every time I come here, I leave with the impression that the people here truly care about their customers experience. The store is clean, the service is friendly and professional, and the quality of their sandwiches is excellent! Not to mention, they are priced extremely fairly for todayś times. For under $10, I bought 3 breakfast sandwiches...and they were absolutely delicious! Kudos to this family run business for doing things the right way!

Growing up on Long Island, I was brought up with an old fashoned delicatessen in every shopping center, two or three in every Town. These days, good old fashioned deli 's that are not bagel stores or another husiness with a deli counter are hard to find. Not in Sloatsburg. Haywards is a throwback to an earlier time where in the morning you can quickly get a good cup of coffee and egg sandwich and in the afternoon a great sandwich, potato or macaroni salad, chips and a drink. Hayward 's is not a cheap eat but the value and quality are worth every penny. A true gem. Hikers, Stop in and grab a trail map and lunch to eat on the trail during your hike, you wont regret it. Ultralight campers beware. this sandwich may push you over your weight limit. See you all at Haywards.
