Korona Cafe - Sligo

Nice welcome from Polish owner upon entry, however never had such disgusting food in all my life both meals for my partner and myself were disgustingand I told the waiter we could not eat such disgusting tasteless food, I also emphasised that i was NOT complaining for a bill reduction, just that the food was so disgusting he disappeared and the Polish owner of the establishment who had previously been very talkativive also disappeared and was not to be seen. Im a guy who is not fussy and would eat (almost anything) but this was just tasteless and disgusting so dont be taken in by the nice owner welcome STAY CLEAR

My husband, myself, and my brother in law stopped in here for lunch two days ago on our way through Sligo. The prices looked great and we love Polish food so thought this looked perfect for a quick bite to eat! We ordered a number of things including drinks, dumplings, schnitzel, potato cakes and sausage only to have the server come back each time telling us they were out of whatever we ordered. This happened FIVE times with both food and drinks. They don't serve alcohol although the wall is lined with bottles of wine. They serve Coca Cola products but were entirely out of Coke. I would be curious what they actually did have. Very disappointed and would certainly not recommend nor will we stop here again.

Had lunch here yesterday, ordered potato cake/side salad, it was a huge serving for only €5.50, my only complaint was it was a little greasy but tasty. My friend ordered chicken season salad, which was equally as big. The waitress was extremely pleasant, restaurant was ver clean

I've been here three times and all were excellent. Twice I was given a sample of something from the menu while waiting on lunch. Burgers, salad, pork schnitzel and cabbage rolls are all excellent and I would definitely recommend trying them. I was given a sample of spiced red pepper soup which was also excellent.

Ordered a casaer salad take away on fri last, asked for no onion, tomatoe, or croutons, when i picked it up went back to car decided to open it ,all that was in it was lettuce bits chicken for €6.90, went back said to waiter did u see what u gave me, there is no bacon in it, he took back to kitchen to where i heard a chef say thats extra, waiter came back he said we have changed our menu , i said i got the same before for sit down with bacon grapes, he then asked did i want a free tea or coffee , what an insult.... never again will i go near korona, an absolute disgrace.......
