We visited this restaurant for brunch to celebrate my father's birthday, and I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent food and friendly service. My surprise stemmed from the location, as I had heard about it several times before. I ordered the blackened salmon with scrambled eggs and a side of broccoli. The salmon was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious, with fantastic seasoning. The eggs and broccoli were also very good. The rest of our table ordered a variety of dishes, all of which were enjoyed. The service was quick and warm, and we were the only party in the restaurant at the time. It seemed that the restaurant has a music theme in the evenings. Overall, we had a wonderful experience.

I absolutely love this restaurant. Every meal I've had has been consistently well prepared. Consistency is important to me, and excellent customer service is key. I'm a loyal customer, and I'm so glad they moved to Front Street. I really enjoy the new location!

The menu has a strong New Orleans influence, offering dishes like po'boys, shrimp and grits, and charbroiled oysters. I highly recommend trying the Jazzy sauce—it’s delicious! Featuring shrimp and spices, it's a flavorful addition that's used in many dishes. The Jazzy Cornbread, topped generously with this sauce, was a standout. Although our food took a little while to arrive—understandable with a large group—the timing was mostly on point. The server forgot to bring out the soup and salads at first, but they arrived shortly after. Given the size of our party, I can see how coordinating everyone's orders might take some time, but overall, I was still pleased with the experience. One downside was the parking situation. The lot can be a bit confusing, and I think some signage outside would really help. There was a small lot on the right side that was full by the time we arrived, so we ended up finding parking on the left side of the building. This area is known for its creative parking solutions, as I like to call them, but clear signs would help guests find their way in more easily. A note about the ramp not leading directly to the front door would also be beneficial. Overall, I would definitely like to come back and try different dishes in the future!

New place in town GREAT place to enjoy a GREAT meal! Jazz 'Mines (pronounced like Jasmines... My wife and I went there today for lunch and absolutely loved the place! This is a new restaurant in the same location where the old Ice House was, on Front Street. The ambiance and decor is very nice, and there is plenty of room to sit down comfortably without being crowded by tables placed too tightly. One of the things I really enjoyed was being able to carry on a conversation without having to talk too loudly because of the overall noise level. What a pleasure! Prices are extremely reasonable, service was very good, and food was terrific. My wife, who is a small eater, had the cornbread with shrimp and Jazzi sauce and absolutely loved it! The sauce is a very flavorful creamy sauce almost good enough to eat like a soup all by itself, but throw in the sauteed shrimp and a huge piece of cornbread and it becomes a nice little meal. I had a 12 grilled shrimp poboy, with their bourbon bbq sauce, fries and potato salad, and it was really, really nice honestly more than I could finish. The General Manager stopped by to say hello and see how we liked everything, and he could not have been nicer. They have live jazz music most evenings and we 're looking forward to going back at night to be able to enjoy that!
