Nite Hawk Grill - Slater

Best Philly cheese steak sandwich I've had a long time. So Cheesy! Bun was fresh, onions and peppers were perfectly grilled and steak was tender and not barley at all.

I expected the food to be better than typical bar fare, but unfortunately, some dishes were a bit too crispy and salty for my liking. The classic burger, though, is enormous and delicious, which I really appreciated—though I would prefer it prepared medium. The toppings were fresh and flavorful. On the service side, the waiting staff didn’t seem very engaged in providing customer service, with minimal assistance offered. A smile or friendly conversation could go a long way. Overall, this place has the potential to be great for a certain crowd, and I’m glad to see it in our community.

The food was excellent, and the staff appeared to be friendly. My only critique is the price of the small pizzas. A $10 charge for a personal pan pizza, along with an additional $0.50 for take-out, brings the total to over $11, which feels quite high compared to past experiences at Allys, where prices were much more reasonable. Aside from that, I have no complaints; everything was delicious.

I love this place. Great food and great service! I was in Slater for work and asked a place where to eat in the gas station. I asked the right person. My Tenderloin sandwich was so delicious that I had to go back to Slater last weekend and that's the first place I left. If I were a local, I'd move in.

Stopped in for dinner after biking the high trestle trail. Had a spicy tenderloin sandwich and a few beers. Tenderloin was juicy and tender inside and nice and crispy outside. Also it was massive. Barely finished it. The beer selection was a good variety of local and big name stuff. Something for everyone. Will visit again for sure when in the area.
