Hometown Deli Slate Hill Route 6

In my opinion, this restaurant in the Middletown/Slate Hill area serves the best subs. The bread is always fresh and they generously pile on Boar's Head meats. The sandwiches are so packed with meat that we often have to remove some to be able to eat it. You could easily make a second sandwich with all the meat they include on just one sub. The prices are reasonable and the sandwiches are definitely worth it. I recommend calling ahead to order since they are usually busy, but my sandwiches are always ready when I arrive without any waiting.

The deli area was small and squishy, but they had a decent selection of sandwiches. I ordered the chicken cordon bleu on a roll and my friend got a grilled chicken bacon ranch combo. The staff, while not very talkative, was pleasant and the service was quick. The prices were reasonable and the sandwiches were delicious with generous portions. Both the grilled and fried chicken were hot, fresh, and juicy, and the rolls were nice and fresh. Since that first visit, we have tried their other sandwiches like the ruben, godfather, and various Boars Head cold cuts. They also have tasty chef salads and my mom always asks me to get her the tuna salad platter, which she says makes enough for three meals. Their potato and macaroni salads are also delicious, not too heavy on the mayo and perfectly seasoned. The only downside is their confusing menu, with items listed twice in different spots with different prices. The breakfast section is a bit difficult to decipher with numbers scattered among the words. Despite this minor inconvenience, I would highly recommend this deli for their delicious food and friendly service.

I don't frequent this restaurant often, but every time I have eaten here, the sandwiches have been top-notch! The portions of meat on the sandwiches are generous, probably close to a pound. I usually end up taking some off because it's so much. While the prices may seem high, the amount of meat you receive makes it worth it. Additionally, the restaurant is always clean every time I have visited.

Good eating clean place nice staff expensive, but it is worth

I came in because it was a simple place to stop and get a sandwich. the sub I got was better than expected. it tastes like what they want to get in a real deli, much better than just a convenience store sub-part. they also have tables where they can sit and eat.
