Det Mexicanske Boefhus - Slagelse

Restaurant is upstairs. Looks cosy with no nonsen se furniture. Mexican tomato soup was hot ans tasty. Pollo picanto was juicy with flavour. Really good fresh vegatables with a bite. French fries were perfect. Muchroom sauce combined quite well.

I dined alone at the restaurant at about 5 pm, but was informed that it is usually crowded in the evenings. The interior is great with a horse wagon and Mexican pattern table cloths. You get a free starter with nachos and salsa. The service is easy and very caring. Food is fresh and tastes great.

Rather empty restaurant but the food for my travelling companion and I was plentiful and tasty. Chicken fillets for me and any of the steaks recommended. Food well presented. The young lady who served us was very helpful, friendly and at times pretty funny too which added to the entertainment of the meal.

The place was clean, staff courteous, and they even stayed open late to allow our group of 8 to stay late. However, the Fajita 's I had, were more like a brown sauced stir fry that only tasted slightly mexican . The Fajita 's were not even close to Sizzling when they were served on a cast iron platter. It wasn 't Mexican tasting, it wasn 't Chinese, it just was strange.

Very good and nice restaurant. Downtown in Slagelse, it's at the first floor of a palace a few steps from the church. Friendly staff and large choice of mexican food and steaks. I recommend it.
