Swell Kitchen

I have been a loyal patron of Swells for many years, and have even stayed in their apartments. I have always enjoyed my time there, using their sunbeds in the garden and on the beach, while also indulging in lunch and drinks. However, the recent implementation of numerous rules dictating what we can and cannot do has made the experience less enjoyable. When I arrived early, I noticed that there were no reserved sunbeds, as they used to have in the past. When we tried to sit in the front beds, the waiter informed us that those were reserved, but we were free to choose any other ones. We decided to move further back for some shade, but were then told that the new rule was that we had to have lunch there. This was not an issue for us, as we were planning on having lunch anyway. When we attempted to set up our own umbrella for a bit of shade, we were once again told that this was not allowed. This came as a surprise, as we have done this for years on what is a public beach. When we expressed our need for some shade, the waiter simply told us to take it down. Fortunately, we had not paid for the beds yet, so we decided to leave and catch a bus to Nostos instead. We did not feel welcomed at Swells this time, and it was disappointing as we have always loved the place. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to Swells or Angelikis, where we used to enjoy our time. It's a shame that Andreas has also left for the mainland, as it is definitely not the same without him.

Highly recommend making a reservation at this restaurant located in the best beach area on Megali Ammos. The service is amazing and the food is lovely!

We had the best vacation ever! The location was perfect, just steps away from the beach. The service was excellent and made us feel right at home. We hope to come back again sometime!
