The Boating Lake Cafe - Skegness

For the 2020 season, the restaurant has introduced some exciting changes. The dining area will feature partial glass walls to shield guests from car fumes and sand dust. When you arrive, you can place your order, then find your table while your order number is called out at the reception. Pick up your order from the counter and enjoy your meal! The chips were delightful; we had a medium portion with curry sauce, which was a bit on the sweet side but very tasty. The medium portion costs £3.10, while the large portion with curry is priced at £4.50. I highly recommend it!

I visited this restaurant for fish and chips today, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, especially given its seaside location. The portion sizes were generous, and the chips were well-cooked and served hot. As for the fish—it was simply outstanding! It was the best piece of fish I've had in a long time, expertly cooked and full of flavor. I even took the time to compliment the fryer. Anyone who visits will not be disappointed. I will definitely be back!

I had the fish and chips with mushy peas, served with bread and butter, along with a cup of tea for £5.99. What a great value! It was so delicious that I ordered it again. To top it off, I enjoyed some donuts with chocolate sauce since it was my birthday. Overall, an excellent experience!

Really quiet this year, many escapes! a peaceful walk.

Had lovely sausage and chips. The tables were clean. Nice to eat out in huge sunshine.
