Sikania Pizza&food - SIRACUSA

My family and I came in here today after visiting the Greek and Roman Amphitheatres. We found this restaurant on google maps when most others were closed during siesta. I'm glad we did because it was the nicest pizza I've had this side of Sicily so far on our trip. The pizza base was lighter than most others I've tried and very tasty. The sauce was interesting because it was actually a thinner and more watery sauce than what one might usually expect but it works really well an interestingly different style. You can't get them like this in the UK to the extent of which it saddens me to have to go back home! I'm going to miss these pizzas, I highly recommend them. The staff were lovely too, particularly our waitress, who spoke excellent English and was very friendly. It was a welcome change from having to figure out menus using google translate and she told me that it doesn't matter if your Italian isn't good, just that you eat good Italian food! I will certainly remember her ; Thanks guys, a job well done.

We came here in August as a group of friends. The pizza came quickly and you could taste that the ingredients were super fresh. The waitress was really welcoming and spoke English to help us understand the menu. Would definitely come back!

All our family had Pizza at the restaurant and all were very happy! It was also nice to sit outside by a bustling street leading to Ortigia. We would expect higher prices for the location, so overall excellent pizza for a reasonable price! The staff were friendly as well. Good choice for pizza lovers!

Pizza molto buona da un punto di vista di dimensioni e goto, peccato per la pasta troppo sottile. Avevo ordinato un drink da 33 cl e mi hanno portato il 25 cl, pagato allo stesso prezzo. Tuttavia, a parte questo il personale è molto cortese e accogliente.

We really enjoyed our meal here. Great service. Pizzas were delicious as was the ravioli. Pizza with peas a new one for me. Recommended
