Osteria Sveva - SIRACUSA

We ate here twice the first night we ordered a mixture of veg and fish, second night pastas and veg plus desserts. Our 5-star rating is based on the outstanding dishes that we tried the grilled season veg, sausage pasta, swordfish pasta and the Cannoli Desert. We have tried many Cannoli during our nearly two weeks in Sicily and we believe that the Cannoli in Osteria Sveva is the best. It comes deconstructed that take a refreshing on cannoli not yet away from any aspect of traditional dessert. The orange tiramisu was also a really funny and pleasant surprise. Overall wonderful restaurant in a nice quiet location with friendly and very relaxed staff. We had no reservations, but we always arrived at 7:30 and everyone else seemed to have a reservation and/or we saw that people turned to the popularity of this restaurant. Make sure you pass, its absolutely worth it!!

Pleasant experience! Great pasta and seafood starter, friendly staff, nice quiet terrace. If you go to lunch, come early. It filled at 13:30 and the people were quiet (or had reservations).

Nice, beautiful, beautiful. A good and really wonderful experience! Everyone who served our table was incredibly warm and friendly, and our meal of shells, local fish and pasta was infallible – fresh, incredibly delicious and prepared with lots of love. This restaurant runs on integrity. The joy of our waiter face when he saw how enthusiastic we were with every dish – just beautiful!

The staff is very friendly and can be consulted. The food is excellent, especially the super fresh fish. I would go back for the Cannoli who were fantastic!

Very good pasta gnocchi. Good wine. Good coffee. Nice place. Prices are decent.
