Fisheria - SIRACUSA

We stumble upon this nice place by good fortune with two Japanese friends. Food is fantastic and the two owners really make us feeling at home. We had gorgeous fried and fresh fish a selection of local rosolio and real Sicilian Grappa and a beautiful bottle of white organic wine. Highly recommended!!

We popped in on our last evening and were really pleased we did. Friendly and welcoming. Choice of cones of various different fried fish dishes all around 8euros. Freshly cooked and delicious with a glass of house wine for 4 euros. Really good value and highly recommended.

Ficheria offers an interesting range of fried sea food typically associated with street food. The food was very fresh, simply presented with very efficient and friendly service. Definitely worth a visit if in the area!

We happened upon this place while very hungry and without too much time to waste. This was a lovely surprise; the service was prompt, the fish sandwiches tasty (we had the swordfish and the tuna) the atmosphere pleasant in a rustic way, the prices right. Perfect for a lunch break in the visiting schedule. Apparently also favored by the locals for take away which gave it character.

We stopped here for lunch, just a few steps off Via Cavour. Great calamari and caponata, nice aranchino, decent house wine. Everything was fresh, hot, and well prepared, all reasonably priced. Good service from a friendly staff. I recommend this place for a quick, satisfying meal when you're on the go.
