Marto Brewing Company - Sioux City

This is one of my favorite dining spots! The pasta is truly outstanding, and the giant pretzel was even better! I really enjoyed it plain. The water was fantastic too. It is a bit on the pricey side, but the portions are generous enough to give you leftovers.

Our waiter was excellent—very attentive and insightful with his recommendations. The wood-fired pizza was incredible. I truly enjoyed every item on the charcuterie board. They also offer a wide selection of their own beers, all served cold! Plus, there's a good variety of seating options available.

Fantastic craft beers! They also have a selection of wine and other drinks. The food here is significantly better than what you typically find at most breweries. The atmosphere is fun and casual, and the servers and bartenders are incredibly friendly! It’s always a must-visit for us when we're in Sioux City. This time we sat outside, and they’re dog-friendly too!

I ordered the Blood Orange Cedar Salmon Salad, and everything complemented each other beautifully! The bits of orange, the blood orange vinaigrette, goat cheese, and red onions worked in perfect harmony. The salmon was cooked to perfection; the server even asked how I wanted it done, which pleasantly surprised me. I opted for well done, and it was spot on! They certainly didn’t skimp on the candied walnuts, either—I was amazed by how many there were! My fiancé chose the Barnyard Burger, which features a beef and bacon patty topped with additional bacon, pork shoulder, and cheddar cheese. It was a towering meal that looked incredibly indulgent! It was quite hefty and meat-heavy, so he couldn’t finish it all, but he really enjoyed every bite! Instead of fries, he opted for a side salad with the apple cider vinaigrette, which was fantastic—its flavor reminded me a bit of applesauce, and I loved it! The server also recommended a beer for my fiancé, and he was pleased with the Golden Ale. As we looked around, we saw pizzas coming out of the kitchen along with a giant Bavarian pretzel, which we definitely want to try on our next visit!

The restaurant boasts an excellent downtown location with a wide variety of craft beers and a highly diverse menu. Don't miss out on the wood-fired pizzas—they're a must-try!
