It was what it promised, 200g of real beef, but cooked properly to my taste, which is 'rare '. In fact, back home in Ireland I can 't get such a thing when I eat out — the health and safety nazis long ago made it illegal to serve a hamburger rare, or possibly even medium. The accompanying chips were excellent, and I was delighted to find that Macas Club has not just one, but two ranges of craft beer. The Feira ?? I had was excellent, and if we had not been near the end of our holiday I 'd have been back for another burger and to sample the MUSA beer range, from a craft brewery in Lisbon. Even better, my daughter is vegetarian, always challenging when it comes to burgers. But Macas Club scored high here too — she pronounced it the best veggie burger she had ever had, and better than the two already consumed elsewhere during the holiday. Having spent the afternoon enjoying the beach at Praia Das Macas, we were delighted with the view out over the beach and the Atlantic as we ate on the shielded terrace. Well done, folks.
This restaurant is basicly 2 restaurants in 1, seafood on the bottom terrace, and around the corner further up in the same building, burgers, same name and same owners according to staff. I went to the top one, Burgers. Staff is very polite and friendly, the space is nice and view is magnificent. The Burger comes with with nicely seasoned fries and the burger bread is also above average, not some plastic junk burger-bread. The burger itself is announced to be 200g, and very well may be if it isnt its close enough. Only thing that made me not give the 5 stars is the fact that it is also announced to be 100 meat but that I am a little more hesitant to believe. It does taste good but I am pretty sure its not 100 meat but that processed kind of meat with a of wheat etc. In it. Its a good burger, the meat is not bad or anything, but personally, I cannot give 5* because I am really not conviced that it is 100 meat, like advertised on the menu.
We had a very enjoyable dinner here overlooking the beach and the setting sun. Its a great location and the food was decent.
So, my two friends and i decided to go to this cafe on a beautiful Wednesday evening. We strolled in happily hoping to drink something refreshing and continue our walk. But there was one thing no one warned us about. We proceeded to order two mojitos and a sparkling water. (The staff are the only reason i added an extra star), the waiter pleasantly told us to sit down because she will bring the drinks to us. After a 5 min wait, we received our drinks. The mojitos tasted ok, they were 60% ice and they were kind of small. After we finished i got up to pay and i was shocked when i received the check. €16. That was only for two mojitos and one sparkling water. My jaw dropped in disbelief. Each mojito was €7.50 (without alcohol). The prices are sky high for something so small and disappointing. (Across the street they sell mojitos for €5 and non alcoholic ones for €3.50). Incredibly disappointed in this restaurant. Would not recommend anyone to come here.
Good overall experience. Had lunch there with a group of 7. Fresh fish, good seafood. I highly recommend the açorda.
