The wontons and prawn paste chicken were excellent. The only minor issue I could find was that the pork chop was a bit thin and there was slightly less beef. However, with the rising costs of ingredients, this is understandable. I will definitely be back to try more dishes. Highly recommended.
The combination of cabbage, curry, pork cutlet, and egg was delicious. The curry was spicy, not mild, and the cabbage was flavorful. The pork cutlet was very thin, but there were plenty of pieces. It appears that they may have raised their prices, as the plate cost $6.80. I wouldn't mind returning, but I feel like I could find a similar dish of the same quality and quantity for a lower price elsewhere.
I have been wanting to visit this restaurant for years and finally had the chance to do so. The fried seafood hor fun had a great wok hei flavor, which is rare in Singapore. The fried beef hor fun seemed to be a popular choice around my table. The curry pork chop rice was decent and satisfying. The prawn roll was better than the hei zok. The oyster omelette was different from the usual ones found in hawker centers, more like a Thai style without bean sprouts. The chili sauce for the oysters was well mixed. I will definitely visit again when I am in town. The prices are reasonable for meals in the city.
Was recommended by a friend to try the oyster egg. So we came by and ordered the oyster egg and beef hor fan. There are 2 different type of beef hor fan 1 is the wet one with beans and bitter gourd, the other was the stir fry dry beef guo tiao. The beef hor fan was good with the wok hei aroma. I'm not a fan of bittergourd so it goes to my hubby's stomach. The oyster egg is unlike the typical fried oyster that we usually find. The egg rice flour mix was cooked into a big crispy piece and cut into smaller pieces. The oysters was not fried together but just added on top of the oyster egg just before serving. Although many people like this unique way of cooking, sadly it is not to my liking. Price wise, you can see for yourself to guage if you are willing to pay this price.
The beef is simply awesome!! Super tender and smooth. The black beans totally appealed to my Cantonese roots Clearly, there is attention given to details even the sliced bitter gourd is slightly charred to perfection And my fussy picky eater self declared vegetarian daughter loves the pork chop! We will be back for more
