Shisen Hanten - Singapore

The food is delicious, with signature dishes like London duck, Peking duck, and Mapo Tofu definitely worth trying. I can see why opinions on the service vary widely. While the regular staff and managers are fantastic, the temporary and younger staff could use some improvement due to the current staffing shortages.

The service staff is outstanding! They are consistently friendly and courteous. The food has improved significantly compared to before. They also use a variety of elegant, beautiful serving dishes to suit different types of cuisine.

Incredibly well-priced for a 2-Michelin star restaurant. While it may not offer the most "authentic" Sichuan cuisine compared to some other establishments, it definitely appeals to a wide variety of tastes. The numbing spice is not too overwhelming, and the flavors are well-balanced and enjoyable. We slightly over-ordered and might have missed out on their signature sautéed deep-fried chicken, which was decent but not remarkable. The wagyu beef with Japanese peppers was also a bit average. Otherwise, the dishes overall were fantastic!

Our family dined there tonight, as we always do when we have guests from abroad. Our friends from Beijing really enjoyed the food, particularly the Peking duck, and the salted egg yolk prawns received a lot of compliments too. The service staff were attentive, consistently refilling our teacups and replacing our cutlery. Thank you for another wonderful experience; it was delightful as always.

The dim sum is the best I've ever tasted, the staff are friendly, and the restaurant has a cozy atmosphere.
