Overall good quality has maintained, various types of curry all has its uniqueness and not super spicy. Makes me want to eat tons of rice to go with the various delicious curry (even though my current diet is cutting down on carbs). Only thing is their beef rendang is slightly on the dry side so would prefer if can be more tender and soft. Overall, would definitely recommend for curry lovers.
An authentic Nasi Padang restaurant in the central area. The curries are rich in flavours. Price is on the high range but given the location, we suppose it can’t be too cheap thou. Worth a try!
It had been a few years since I last dined here, the first time being at the old Rendezvous Hotel in the Rochor area. I was excited to have lunch here with my brother-in-law. The food did not disappoint; it was nearly as delicious as I remembered. The begedils were large and full of flavor, and the sotong was fresh and perfectly cooked. Overcooked squid can be rubbery, but this dish was excellent. The brinjal was also tasty, served with chili on the side. The chicken curry was good, although the chicken pieces were smaller than I expected. Surprisingly, the beef rendang was our least favorite; the pieces were tough and the rempah was not very flavorful. The cucumber salad complemented the various curries and rice nicely. Overall, the price was reasonable at $48, and the service was efficient. Ordering was straightforward; you select your food and quantities at the counter, and the staff bring the dishes to your table.
As an international visitor in Singapore, dining here offers a wonderful cultural experience! With a name like this, you might not expect it to serve authentic Indonesian-style Nasi Padang, but it certainly does! There are plenty of options to choose from, and the prices are quite reasonable for Singapore. My personal favorites include the beef rendang, korma chicken, begedel, and lodeh. Their chendol is also creamy and delicious. For those visiting Singapore, alongside the usual chili crab and bak kut teh, be sure to add this place to your list. The service is friendly and exceptionally efficient.
I hadn't visited this restaurant in 30 years, and they have since relocated to Clarke Quay. The food is just as delicious as I remember. My favorites are the jumbo shrimp. We also indulged in sayar lodeh, curry vegetables, beef rendang, and begedil. Despite the great food and lovely views, the place was surprisingly empty.
