The ambiance was dimly lit, perfect for an intimate dining experience. The service was attentive and enthusiastic. If I were to make a suggestion, it would be to improve the consistency of the staff's spoken English, as there were a few moments when we couldn't fully understand the explanations of the dishes. However, that’s truly a minor point to critique. Additionally, the restaurant was accommodating when we needed to reschedule our reservations twice due to unforeseen circumstances. A lovely, lovely restaurant—kudos to the chef!
The food was far better than I had anticipated. The main dish was expertly prepared, and the accompanying sauce, inspired by Korean flavors, was subtle and complemented the dish perfectly. From the amuse-bouche to the dessert, everything was spot on! Truly deserving of its one Michelin star!
It was a fantastic experience overall. Every dish, including the appetizers, was executed perfectly. The Korean BBQ stood out as exceptional. I really appreciated the subtle flavor combinations that paired wonderfully with the sake. The desserts and petit fours were delightful and provided a lovely finish to the meal.
I’m giving them my personal 3 Michelin Stars. Omg this is the best meal I’ve had in Singapore for real. Every single course was amazing! Fantastic service from Kat as well and Chef Kim was simply amazing!
I love coming to a restaurant without much prior knowledge other than the current Michelin guide rating and being completely blown away! Such was the case with dinner at Meta. A quite distinct cuisine, I would say turbo charged Korean French, with some Japanese influences. The level here is at times staggering, many dishes being clearly in world class territory. A dish of quail stuffed with foie gras, served with morel and truffle sauce could easily pass as a creation of Cesar Ramirez at CTBF, without losing any individuality. The Korean BBQ, last savory dish of the evening was another highlight. A dish of almost emotional quality. All other dishes were top notch as well, including the two supplements options of Korean oyster and stuffed chicken wing. The wine list is quite short, but that made it easier to spot some nice white Burgundy to pair with the meal. Staff was a pleasure to interact with, they clearly love what they are doing. Overall, an amazing dinner experience and on my want to come again list.
