Candlenut - Singapore

I had a fantastic experience! The restaurant definitely lives up to its Michelin star reputation. While I wasn't a fan of the decor, it was simple and spacious. The lovely staff took great care of us, and I appreciated being introduced to them by name. The food was exceptional, featuring small bites for starters and satisfying main dishes served in a communal style. I was particularly grateful that the staff assisted us in finding a portion solution that suited our needs. Thank you!

I had an amazing experience on my first visit to try Peranakan cuisine at this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious! We celebrated a surprise birthday dinner for my best friend, and the service was exceptional—warm, friendly, and attentive staff. Mr. Felix served us and did an outstanding job! Thank you, Uncle Felix, for making our dinner so special, and thanks also to Chef Malcolm! Everything was perfect! I highly recommend this place to everyone!

My favorite overall meal of 2021. Candlenut is the perfect destination for authentic, elegantly simple cuisine. There’s nothing pretentious about it; each dish is straightforward yet brimming with a rich array of complex flavors. While I would usually suggest specific dishes, I believe that Candlenut encourages a try-everything approach. Opting for the multi-course set would be a fantastic choice—you can't go wrong with it!

One of my favorite meals in Singapore! I’m so glad that I decided to stop by here even when it was down pouring. The food was delicious and the decor was comfortable but elegant. Great service from everyone there, we felt like part of a family, will be back with my family in the future!

The entire experience here was fantastic, from our awesome server Arvin, who provided attentive and friendly service, to the amazing Peranakan cuisine! The tasting menu was more than enough food, and provided a great selection of different flavours. Will be making this a must visit for my trips to Singapore.
