21 On Rajah - Singapore

It was my family's first visit to this restaurant, and we were greeted with a warm welcome from the friendly staff. Their service was exceptional and truly impressive. The food was delicious as well, and it arrived just in time for breakfast. As we left the restaurant, we agreed that we would definitely return whenever we have the chance.

The seafood on ice was fresh, featuring sweet prawns and mussels. The sautéed squid was surprisingly soft and tasty (not at all chewy!). Even a simple dish like sweet and sour chicken was executed perfectly, with crispy chicken pieces. The lamb shank was tender and well-marinated, which led us to order a second helping. My kid loved the salmon, especially with the delicious ginger soy sauce. Desserts like ice cream, cakes, and kuehs were fabulous too—not overly sweet. The kueh lapis was incredibly soft and buttery, and my kid adored them! A special thanks to Ms. Nan, the restaurant manager, and Vimel, the tall Indian gentleman (I hope I've spelled your name right), for their excellent service. They brought us plate after plate of hot, tasty food with warm smiles, making the restaurant feel as welcoming as dining at a friend's home. Even the chef waved hello when he passed by our table! Thank you, Ms. Nan, for the complimentary birthday cake, but we were too full and had to decline to avoid waste! Overall, it’s an affordable à la carte buffet with high-quality food served by a passionate, friendly team. I will definitely return with more friends and family now that life post-COVID is almost back to normal! I completely forgot to take photos of the food because we were too busy enjoying ourselves and the genuinely fantastic food! I believe that an à la carte buffet is a better way to minimize food waste while ensuring higher quality dishes.

I also want to give a special shoutout to the wonderful staff, especially Chandran, Sanjay, and Pamela. They were friendly and very helpful. When one of my friends noticed a spill on the floor, Chandran immediately took action and cleaned it up without missing a beat. Pamela also stepped in to assist with the coffee maker dispenser. We suggested using a mop, but since there were other diners around, he opted for tissues and put up a sign instead. Well done, Chandran! I will definitely return to this lovely restaurant.

We chose to have our team's lunch at 21 on Rajah and opted for the lunch buffet priced at $32 per person. The variety of food was somewhat disappointing, but the quality was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the laksa and the roast beef, both of which were delicious. The seafood was also very fresh. The service was impressive, with our used plates being cleared away promptly.

The service at this restaurant was outstanding! Every staff member who approached our table was well-informed about the menu and provided clear explanations. They were incredibly accommodating and patient throughout our meal. To top it off, they surprised us with a complimentary cake for my mom's birthday! We brought the family out for Iftar to celebrate her special day. Due to COVID restrictions, the food is delivered directly to your table, and ordering is super easy—just a click on your phone. I appreciate that the portion sizes are smaller, so nothing goes to waste! Each dish was served at the perfect temperature, except, of course, the dessert! Every item we tried was delicious! Overall, our family was extremely satisfied, especially my mom. If you enjoy Mediterranean cuisine, this is definitely the place to go!
