Restaurante A Restinguinha - Sines

Been here many times during the last years. Always reliable, fresh fish made on the grill, perfect service and oustandin ratio price-quality. I always return for lunch when in Sines

The back porch of the restaurant has three tables that look out over the harbour. The quality of the fish is excellent, and they come expertly grilled. We had a nice Sole and a big Sea Bass. Very tasty. Parking is tight in the old part of town but there are lots close by.

As many restaurants located in Sines, in Restinguinha one will find a very good quality fresh fish assortment. However, rather than recomend the traditional "grilled fish with boiled potatoes and vegetables" dish, I would prefer the monkfish rice which is, for me, one of the best you can have in Portugal... Apart from this they also serve a very juicy home style swordfish which is a delight.For the meat lovers... Sorry but I never ate meat in this restaurant but I am sure it might be as good as the fish.The desserts are also home made, meaning that it is a feast of sweet flavours one cannot miss.Do not expect an exquisite service or a very fancy atmosphere but there are places in the sun-deck where one can enjoy a magnificent view of Sines bay!

We came here as a suggestion from the place where we're staying.A very simple (no luxury at all...), restaurant with a nice terrace offering a good view to SInes bay.Had a very fresh sea bass,Just ok given the price...about 80€ for 2 adults and a 8YO kid,For this price you can do a lot better.

The walk to the restaurant had us worried that; 1 - we wouldn't find it, and 2- it might be closed. Having found it (the proper entrance is front near the water, versus back side of opposite street) it was open and upstairs found a lovely restaurant setting that offered the freshest fish along with a warm and hospitable staff. Service was very good, and although there was a slight language barrier, it didn't stop any of us from understanding the most important thing.. great food, fresh deliciously prepared fish (Sea Bream and Dory) along with freshly baked breads and a cod fish appetizer.
