Romano's Macaroni Grill Simi Valley

We were seated immediately by the very gracious hostess, who gave my mother me flowers for Mother’s Day. Service was a lil slow but it was busy because of Mother’s Day. Food was excellent.

Food was overly salty and the service was very slow. I won’t be going back.

Extremely Poor Service. The food was okay, but I don’t think I’ll come back.

Service was horrible. We had a menu only good for Thursday. We were there on Friday. We needed a manager to adjust our bill and finally had to go up front. We told him of the bad service. And told him we will NOT be back.

This review is not a criticism of our server Liz; she did a great job. However, the overall food experience was horrible. I have never had a more charred piece of chicken in my life. The taste was of pure charcoal. The spinach served with my charcoal was raw and the broccoli tasteless. My husband's chicken fillet tasted old and the pasta tasteless. The wine, soda, and brussel sprouts were fine as well as the salad. Bread was not anywhere near as fresh and savory as we remembered and the soup had a strong taste of corn starch. The food was honestly so bad that we lamented our former fond memories of this establishment. I understand that they are training a new chef according to our server Liz and that the offerings are being simplified in order to give him time to adapt, but the chicken charcoal I was served was an absolute embarrassment. I suppose we should have gone to Hamburger Hamlet to enjoy a tender juicy piece of chicken instead of what we received. I am still in shock by the severely diminished quality of the food at this establishment that we once loved so much. It was too cold in the restaurant, but that was the least of our concerns.
