Hooties - Silverton

Stopped in today after camping at Caprock Canyon. Hate to rate a small town restaurant so low but the Mexican street tacos /rice and beans were terrible. The asada meat tasted old with a very disgusting flavor. Rice and beans were so salty I only ate a couple of bites and you could tell the beans were old.Other customers seemed to be ordering the special, chicken fried steak and looked like they were enjoying it.Their other items on the menu may be good but what I ordered was probably the worst Mexican food I've ever tried to eat and I am far from being a picky eater.Hope they improve, there's not much in Silverton and I know the locals appreciate the restaurant.

We were staying at Caprock state park and went here for dinner one night. Nice little restaurant with good food and good prices.

Stopped in for some much needed lunch on the way to OKC. Great food and excellent service. A real gem with small town character. Thank you.

Unexpected stop and was delighted by the chicken fried steak!

What a delightful surprise! Catfish special on Friday night. All good, very fresh, well-prepared fried fish with great sides. Food got out fast. It was hot. Service great! Like a walk into another era. Check it out!
