It is a modern and clean space that has taken the best elements of Ethiopian cuisine and made it accessible to those who may not typically enjoy it. As a vegetarian or vegan, you have plenty of options here, with about 70% of the menu being vegan. Just be sure to ask about specific items that may not be vegan, such as cabbage, yogurt sauce, and dishes with cheese. The grilled tofu is a delicious and protein-packed option for a quick meal. Choose from a variety of bases like pita bread, spaghetti, salad greens, rice, injera, or gluten-free injera. The vegan sauces range from mild to hot, with the chef's special jalapeño sauce being a favorite. The sides include yellow split peas, red berber lentils, and a delicious crowned green option. The cold sides offer roasted corn, tomato and cucumber salad, and azifa lentils. A meal with 4 sides only costs $8.05, making it a budget-friendly option for flavorful Ethiopian food. The open kitchen allows you to watch your meal being prepared quickly. The staff are helpful in answering any questions you may have and serve your food promptly. Overall, a great spot for fast and tasty Ethiopian food that caters to vegetarians and vegans alike.
The food at this restaurant was amazing! As a vegan, I always appreciate Ethiopian restaurants for their variety of options. I found the takeout concept to be unique and convenient. Despite living in NC, I will definitely make it a point to visit again during my next trip.
The food at this restaurant was extremely salty, to the point where it was almost inedible. It was oddly salty despite being seasoned with other spices. Although I appreciated the concept of a more authentic Ethiopian restaurant and the friendly staff, the overall quality of the food was disappointing.
The food was delicious! I'm vegan so I like to go to Ethiopian restaurants as I know they will have many opportunities for me! the takeout concept was quite cool! I live in nc, but I will make it my business to check it out next time!
Eating was extremely (extremely) oversalted. it had more salt than it was even edible. this is strange because it was spiced with each other at the same time. I love the idea of a more expressive Ethiopian restaurant, and people seemed really nice, but it was just not good to eat.
