They were served with lentils, chickpeas, yogurt sauce, and a sprinkle of dried mint—absolutely delicious! For our main course, we sampled the beef and chicken kabobs. The meat was tender and superbly seasoned with aromatic spices. It came with fluffy Afghan rice that was prepared in a unique way, along with yogurt sauce, salad, and warm naan. We also enjoyed some sides: chickpeas in a flavorful sauce and sautéed spinach. A cilantro sauce complemented the meals beautifully. They offer a variety of kabob plates and combos, as well as gyros wraps. I only wish we had room to try their baklava! If I lived in Maryland, Chopaan Kabob would definitely be on my list of go-to places. The food is incredibly fresh, made in-house, which you can see from the kitchen. The restaurant is clean, has plenty of parking, and offers outdoor seating. To top it all off, the food is simply amazing! Additionally, they provide catering services. We really enjoyed meeting the owners; they were incredibly friendly and hardworking. I highly recommend giving this place a try—you won't be disappointed!
I visited an amazing place that really caters to coffee enthusiasts. I initially asked for pizza, but I ended up trying the best samosas I’ve ever had! I was also pleasantly surprised by the creativity they showed in preparing my coffee to go.
However, the pricing was a bit of a challenge; it was on the expensive side. While the dishes are incredibly tasty and of high quality, adjusting the prices would make it more accessible for everyone. Another issue I noticed is their closing time on weekends; they close at 9 PM. If they could extend their hours, especially on Friday and Saturday nights, that would be really beneficial. Overall, the food quality and taste were outstanding, and I highly recommend visiting this establishment. Plus, everything is HALAL!
Excellent and friendly service. Beef and lamb kebabs were very delicious. Kubideh was also good when a hair on the dry side. The pumpkin and eggplant sides were great. The spinach was good, but not the best I had. The hummus is good, with a lot of sesame taste. The atmosphere is casual, but beautiful enough. Prices are as expected for the area and style of food. You also have Hookah that you can use in the cute outdoor area (I didn't try it) at a price of $20. Overall a good place for Afghan style kebabs and other dishes.
This is by far 1 of the absolute best food I’ve ever had!!! And I just got the veggie kabob and samosas! As soon as I walked in I felt welcomed great energy from the chef to the owner and the green eyed lady at the front who even called me to verify my order. The chef killed it!! I couldn’t even talk or watch t.v I was too busy enjoying my food!! What makes this place special from the rest, is that the food here is made with love and the people are too! Truly Authentic! You will enjoy it! Facts! -Mickey
