Casa Del Rey - Sierra Madre

After hearing a lot about this restaurant, I decided to finally stop by for dinner yesterday. We sat outside on the patio, I like the view on the mountains! As soon as we sat down we were given chips and salsa which were tasty! They have a mild and medium salsa. I got the Cadillac margarita with tajin on the rim, it was good. For my entree I got a combination plate to share with my daughter, it was a 3 item plate with a shredded beef taco, chile relleno and a shredded beef enchilada. Also for 4$ you can add a soup or salad to your entree so I decided to do that because my daughter loves albondigas soup. I thought the soup was okay, I personally found it to be a little watered down and the broth lacking a bit of flavor. But I was very happy with the combination plate. My husband got the chile verde burrito w/ beans and he really enjoyed it too.

This restaurant is amazing!! Food is to die for!! The Chile Relleno Burrito, I request it with shredded Chicken, is the Best Burrito and the Price!! YOU CANT BEAT IT!!! Melissa Rocks as a waitress there!! She is very welcoming, super nice and quick to answer any and all questions regarding food and drinks!! You must have is the 20 oz, spicy Margarita!!!! Excellent!! Ambiance is cozy, the place is just the right size and they also have outside seating!! When in Sierra Madre, Stop and have a bite and drinks here!!!!

Came here on a Friday night and the place was busy, I got the combination plate with a hard taco and carnitas enchilada. The rice and beans were bomb, but the taco and enchilada were just ok for me. Maybe next time I'll come back and try something else like the

Waitress was very nice and attentive, but both mine and my friends cheese enchiladas were served to us with cold, unmelted cheese all throughout the insides.

I've been here a few times and the service/food is usually pretty good. Last time I went though, the service was beyond slow and our waitress kept forgetting things we asked for. We were seated right away but our order wasn't taken for 30 minutes, and by the time our food arrived we had been there for just over an hour. They didn't make my plate correctly either but I didn't even try to have them correct it.
