Osteria Enea - SIENA

We returned to Siena this Autumn having been there for the Palio in 2020 which was cancelled. We again found the ENEA bar just down the road from the cathedral and loved it all over again. You can call in if you wish to take a break from the city crowds, or a walk to the gates down the hill. For a very reasonable price you can eat a meal, or just get a coffee and cake, in the wonderful sun filled square across the road; a square that is on a platform allowing views of the Tuscan countryside. The service is quick and friendly, the selection of food and drinks provides everything you need, and the prices do not offend. Unlike many places; the ENEA bar has not changed and is every bit as good as it was the previous year.

A great little place on the way out of town. Food was a little slow coming out but it’s a small place and there were 5 of us ordering. The food was the stand out, it was definitely worth the wait!

The osteria is very small with only 4 tables. The food is very delicious but not expensive (about 8 euro for primi /secondi plates). The staff was nice. It is not one of this typic tourist location- we enjoyed our stay.

Location and service are excellent. The private room is gorgeous, great food and fabulous wine. recommended ;

Il bar osteria si trova in un angolo molto caratteristico della contrada della tartuca.Siamo stati qui sia per l'aperitivo che per cena.È un locale a conduzione familiare dove si può ritrovare il clima tipicamente caldo e accogliente di Siena. Devo definire la nostra esperienza eccellente sia dal punto di vista gastronomico che umano: quando dalla Sardegna mi ricapiterà di recarmi a Siena, sono certa di tornare di nuovo da queste splendide persone. Abbiamo mangiato i pici alla carbona e la salsiccia con i fagioli: portate abbondanti e gusti imperdibili. Ottima scelta di birre.Posso solo dire GRAZIE ai ragazzi, ci rincontreremo sicuramente.
