Malborghetto - SIENA

We visited this knight with my family and was by far the best we had eaten throughout the country. I remember calling the cook to our table to congratulate him on our Risoto and seafood pasta. If you ever go to Siena, please eat here, I still dream with this wonderful pasta!

Siena has my second home for the last four years, a picturesque place like Malborghetto would be enough to satisfy every visitor. But no. They're people like Francesca who make this place special for me. This Trattoria has an extensive menu and stunning location right behind Piazza del Mercato. Since most fantastic things are done, I discovered this place by chance. A year ago, when I was in town, I was pretty sick. I went around, zombie-like, looking for a quiet little meal and some tea to clear my concrete sins. Francesca was first on the scene, took a look at me and appeared a minute later with a cup of chamomile tea and honey. I could only eat a simple spaghetti pomodoro, and she had to eat without hesitation. I came back the next day and received the same effortless hospitality and care. It is gestures like these that make people unforgettable. Three days ago, I had the pleasure of presenting Francesca to my partner. We came back twice a day.

Really good food and atmosphere. We had pasta. Francesca was amazing and so inviting for us. They served a long list of local wines that could be bought from the bottle. Besides a great view from above on the hill.

Absolutely amazing food, great wine, large portions, good service and prices! The best culinary experience in Italy so far! I recommend escalopes with maschrooms, ravioli with spinach and ricotta cheese and a part of Siena cheese.

Quiet and charming (at least to us), and with good food. Try the porcini pizza!
