Went twice during our trip. So it was overall a good experience. Highly recommend banana flowers kerabu. A lot of people suggest the beef climbing mountain but the beef was too chewy and it’s just stir fried beef with margarine really. For halal food (and we tried a few during our trip here), highly recommend to go to this place. At least there’s flavours and the place semi-clean.
I've been to this place several times. It is not too far from the bustling Pub Street area of Siem Reap, around 1 km away. It is not in the main road of Siem Reap but a bit hidden, on a relatively dusty street. But don't get me wrong... although the small street beside and in-front of this restaurant is small and dusty, the restaurant itself is relatively clean and well maintained. There are separate toilets for ladies and gentlemen. Hand towels are also provided. For moslems who need to do they prayer, not far from this restaurant, around 300 meter to the left, there is a relatively big mosque, named An Neakmah Mosque. It is around 2-3 minutes walk. So you also can do your prayer before, or after your meal in this restaurant. Back to this Muslim Family Kitchen, this restaurant has various menu on the table for you to choose. The menu is written and printed on the Menu Book, colored and picture nicely. Owner of this restaurant is a Cambodian family. They are very warmed hearted and welcoming. This family has a daughter, a very smart one, around her 11 years old (in this year 2020). She is nice and sometimes her parents ask her to practice her English by talking, having light chat with visitors, while offering the restaurant's menu, and explain what inside the menu, how's the taste and she does it in quite well spoken English. This smart girl warmly offers you her recommendation according to her taste which is totally acceptable. In fact, the food served here is quite good, fresh and tasteful. I would say that it is very often that you should go to street vendor like this to find the real taste of local cuisine, rather than having dinner in your hotel, because usually the food you have in your hotel has already been adjusted to meet the hotel (sometimes international standard) to reduce any risk of being too hot or too sweet or too oily... etc. that make the hotel's guests that coming from all kind of walk of life complaining about the food. So, the Street vendor like this Family Muslim Kitchen offers the original taste of local Khmer food. I would say that the menu offers on the table of this restaurant could caters almost everybody tastes, not only for muslim but for everyone. They are fresh: its vegetable, fish, spices, ingredients, etc. Fish in three taste is fresh. It is covered with minced shallot along with other spices tastes good and fresh. It is not hot. It is a bit sour and refreshing. Good to try. In this restaurant you can also find some souvenirs that you can buy. The stall is located in the inner part of the restaurant. It sells scarfs, bags, etc... Please check when you are there. The price of the food is alao amazing. Believe me that it will not make devastate your pocket Recommendable.
Good value and very very excellent taste! Sangat sedap rasa sayur campur Dan udang masak kunyit. They serve big portion for the dishes lauk. You can get as low as USD2.50 per plate of dish. And share with your friends. Drinks also price at USD1. They give free iced water for you when you come in. Definitely will come again if I come to Siem Riep. Recommend to Muslims and everyone who want to eat and fill up your stomach before continue exploring Siem Reap.
The perfect place for halal food. Close to Masjid and they also have Mushola. The Place is clean. The have this little water sprayer to fight the hot air of Siem Reap. Their food is some kind of fusion. Malayan dish with Cambodian spice, I think, and it's quite tasty than I had expected. I have the spring roll, their on the spot stir fry meat and vegetable. The juice is also refreshing. Very affordable price. I paid less than $10 for 3 person meal.
