Przekaż informację zwrotnąWOW ! What a disappointment and thanks for ruining our Christmas! Our soup was lukewarm and the accompanying dinner roll was cold and bland. The one slice of turkey was like rubber and the skin was yellowish, the brown meat was dry and hard. The dab of mashed potatoes tasted like they came out of a box. The 4 slices of burnt sprouts 4mm) and the 2 bits of carrot 25mm X 12mm) were rock hard as were the tasteless white turnip?? or maybe parsnip?? And the cube of stuffing had the consistency of egg foo yung and/ or tofu also tasteless. The Christmas Pudding 70mm X 30mm X 30mm) and vanilla ice cream, I 'm sure, were straight off the back of a Sysco or Gordon 's Foods delivery truck! The same stuff you 'd get at a cafeteria line. ALL THIS FOR $79.95 !!! And maybe a pat of butter for your dinner roll? That 'll be $1.50 please, for 1 pat. Would you like a glass of house red wine with your dinner? That 'll be $26.00 for a 9oz glass, that tasted like it came out of a box bitter. For SHAME Ten Acres ! This was The Christmas Gift from the Matriarch of the family to her family. She is a 78year old pensioner who had saved for this. For SHAME! Please see Wendell F 's review, Not sure if he was there at the same time as we were but he had the same experience. I have been in the hospitality industry all my life and the only term that comes to mind is Clip Joint .
Great happy hour. Amazing atmosphere and the menu has very good options for food and drinksI visited twice last week and both servers were outstanding. Paige and Anne 15
We went for a birthday lunch and I was very disappointed by the food. I ordered fish tacos with guacamole. They were almost inedible, 3 tacos with a tiny piece of fried fish and smothered in a horrible taco sauce. It was bitter and nasty. My friends had fish and chips which were okay but the portion was small. This is my third visit and my last. The previous two times I'd ordered the grilled cheese and the omelette which were okay. This time I wanted something special but 10 Acres did not deliver. It's expensive and very very mediocre.
Disappointing. This restaurant looks like it should be good based on the ambience and location, but the food quality itself was disappointing. We started with 1/2 price oysters. They didn’t have the “Premium Oysters” so we ordered the more expensive “Superior Oysters.” They were good enough. We ordered during happy hour so they were 1/2 price. If I were to ever return, I would not order the oysters at their full price (not worth it).I ordered the fish and chips. They didn’t have any halibut left so I had the haddock instead. This was literally the smallest piece of fish I have ever been served on a plate of fish and chips, which is ironic given that I ordered off the “large plates” menu. It was just barely bigger than a chicken finger. I was shocked. The 2 people I was dining with ordered “The Burger,” which was also disappointing. Not much on it.Would not recommend given the small portion sizes and food quality.
Went to 10 Acres for Thanksgiving dinner Sunday night. Online the menu had the 3 course dinner for 49.95, and salad or soup, dinner and dessert separate . There wasn't this option in house. We had the 3 course set menu and was surprised that salad and dessert was added to the bill. The food was ok not delicious, gravy was extra. What will keep us from going back was the staff. No one was smiling and no one was friendly. We had to ask for cutlery, salt and pepper and water. We were hardly spoken to and ok they were busy but not overly. So for over $190 for 3 (no alcohol) we will not be spending our dollars there again.
