This was a very good dining experience all the way around. It far exceeds its current Zagat rating. It's a beautiful space with excellent dining and service. Everything was better than we anticipated.

This is a place with huge potential but is let down by disjointed service it was a bit like trying to dance with someone who is really uncoordinated. The staff just don't seem to work as a team. Individual staff did try their best but lack of communication appears to be a problem. We arrived a few minutes early so were directed to the bar while our table was being made ready. Nobody told us when it was ready and it was only after half an hour that we asked about it that we were told it had been ready for some time. Even though it wasn't busy it was hard to get the attention of the bar woman. The bar staff didn't know we were eating at the restaurant so asked us twice if we'd like to order bar food and they were unable to transfer the bar bill to our table. I ordered the scallops and when they were arrived I noticed there was bacon in the preparation which was not mentioned in the menu. The waiter was really good about changing it but such a shame that the person who wrote the menu didn't discuss it with the chef. The real issue here is the management some staff are trying hard to please, others seem de motivated or not very interested in the customers.

Went to White St. for a second time. Ate early, so fewer diners and lots of attention from wait staff. Seafood appetizers (tuna tartare and seafood tacos) were very good. Scallops and branzino were excellent--spinach was quite nicely done. Pecan pie for dessert was a bit disappointing. Staff was very friendly and accommodating and I would definitely return.
