Cafe Wien - Sibiu

The food was very good, large portions, beautiful atmosphere, prices within reach for the area, we return customers, it was in the past when we visit Sibiu. But I would like to tell you how a not so good experience could turn into an unforgettable one: we were there for dinner in a really crowded holiday evening and we need to wait more than normal for our main order. In the end, together with the apologies of the waiter, he brought us a very good dessert for free, although we do not oppose that delay. Sometimes there are great consequences: An unforgettable service!

We were there for a bottle of wine. Arrived around 22:15 and took a table outside. After some 15 mins the waiter came and we ordered a bottle of Frauendorf Pinot Gris. We got a bottle from the fridge, but not cool enough. They did...not offer any ice basket to cool it. Hence, the wine was too warm which sort of spoiled the otherwise nice experience. Anyway would like to try the place again, when in Sibiu next time, as we have been told they offer very good Viennese-style breakfasts.

The food has no salt and it is really bland. We ordered vienese schnitzel, potato salad and chocolate cake but no taste and really dry. The potato salad seemed to be left in the refrigerator for one day or two. Not to mention that even...whether the place is cozy and warm, the music in there is so stupid (commercial radio music). All in all, not worth the money, although serving was fast.

Stopped mid day for a coffee and desert. Coffee was excellent but service was shockingly awful. In fact it’s hard to call it service at all. Waiters aim were to ignore customers while they chatted with colleagues. There are plenty of other coffee options in...town.

Algo caro incluso para los estándares rumanos. El desayuno es bastante flojo y el servicio sufre una dejadez en la atención que resulta bastante incómoda.Las vistas en absoluto lo merecen tanto y eso, a pesar de las hordas de turistas que en grupos con guías se meten en la terraza mientras tú estás desayunando.Nada recomendable.
