Village Coffee House - Shropshire

The restaurant is located at the back of a furniture store, which may seem strange at first. However, they offer a nice variety of cakes, a large menu including paninis and baked potatoes, and affordably priced sandwiches with crisps and salad. The service is friendly and efficient, with no issues encountered. It was a bit surprising that they only accept cash, but luckily I always carry a few bills just in case, so it wasn't a problem.

The tea shop is beautiful, but their cash-only policy is unreasonable, especially during the pandemic when many places only accept credit cards. There are no signs indicating this policy, so it was frustrating when the waitress mentioned it. When we asked about it, we were told they didn't want to notify everyone or put up a sign. Having to go to the ATM to get cash was inconvenient, and the lack of gratitude from the young lady at the counter was disappointing. Despite the good food and pleasant atmosphere, the lack of acknowledgment for our trouble was a real letdown. It's important for others to be aware of this policy based on similar comments.
